Wildfood School

Ever eaten nettles? Or even some of the edible thistles? And how about telling your friends that you've eaten chickweed, and know all about finding food from the wild?

If that's the sort of thing that tickles your fancy, then Wild Food School is probably the sort of place that will capture your imagination.

Wild Food School, based in Lostwithiel, opened at the end of April 2005, and offers weekend and day courses where students can gain hands-on experience in identifying and using many of Britain's edible wild plants, and do so in an informal learning environment. There also also regular guided walks on the subject. There is also a Distance Learning programme available if you are unable to visit Lostwithiel
