Lostwithiel Community Centre will be holding A Cornish Feast at Parkview Cafe during Food Fest week on Mon 25th, Tues 26th and Wed 27th Oct from 10am until 1.30pm.

Come and enjoy traditional homemade cornish splits with jam and cream, heavy cake, cornish fairings and other cornish fayre.with your morning coffee.

At 7pm the Centre will be holding a Variety Concert featuring many of our talented local musicians.  Some of the Produce Market stall holders will be at the centre from 6pm so you can come along and sample their produce before enjoying the evening's entertainment. Compered by Lostwithiel's very own Simon Brewer. Refreshments and a Cornish Bottle Bar will be available during the interval.


Church Rooms 

Great Cornish Pasty Challenge   - Monday 25th October, 12:30pm

Can you cook the ultimate pasty ?

All you have to do is produce 2 identical pasties for judging at The Church Rooms on Monday October 25th to launch The Lostwithiel Food Festival.

Pasties will be judged on flavour, texture and consistency and you can enter either a traditional or flavoured Pasty. There are 2 categories – adults (16+) and childrens (under 16) with great prizes for both winners.

Judges include Lostwithiel Mayor Vic May, Lostwithiel Bakery and special guest Radio Cornwall’s James Churchfield.

Pick up an entry form from Lostwithiel Bakery, Bellamama, nanadobbie or Watts Trading, Lostwithiel.

So, get baking, be sure to pick up your entry form and come along to The Great Cornish Pasty Challenge.

Transition Lostwithiel are planning a day of food activity for all ages

Learn about the Abundance community harvesting project.Activities for kids of all ages - create chutney, bread, fridge biscuits, and much more to take home along with recipes

BIG EXCHANGE: bring along your home made jam, chutneys, eggs, honey to swap for something else

Spanish Fiesta - Thursday 28th October, 7:00pm

Evening of Spanish themed food with Bellamama serving paella and Spanish entertainment at the Church Rooms.




Asian Food Day - Saturday 30th October, 11:00am to 4:00pm


As part of Lostwithiel Food Festival, a celebration of Asian food and culture will be held in the Church Rooms.

The range of Asian food on offer will include Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Indian, with visitors able to sample dishes and watch cooking demonstrations.

Visitors will be also entertained by a variety of performances including Thai dancing, the Japanese drumming groupTanoshi Taiko and a Thai kick boxing demonstration from West Area Kick Thai (WAKT) gym.
