Lostwithiel Farmers Market
Lostwithiel Local Produce Market is held in the Community Centre fortnightly, on a Friday from 10 am to 2pm. The Market, started in August 1998, is run by the Cornish Guild of Smallholders.
All goods on sale at the market have been produced within a 35 mile radius of Lostwithiel. Only the producers themselves are allowed to sell at Lostwithiel Market - no goods are sold by middlemen. This allows customers to find out details about the method of production.
Produce is only available in season, or when in production, and includes a selection of:-
- Free range meat poultry and eggs
- Home made sausages, ham, and bacon
- Vegetables, fruit and fruit juices, plants, flowers and herbs
- Ice cream and cheeses
- Chutneys, jams, marmalade and pickles
- Bread, cakes and savouries
